WHAT TO EXPECT
Out of the Wild is an exclusive all-day event where you’ll gain new insights about the 2025 Forester and 2024 Solterra, hone your selling skills, and drive these new vehicles for yourself. Sessions will include product presentations, walkarounds, lot demos, and on-road driving. Join our Field Training Teams as they take you Out of the Wild and into experiencing the new Forester and Solterra.
PREREQUISITES
Participants are advised to be “certified” in their sales roles at least one week prior to departing for their Out Of The Wild Retail Training Program session.

PROGRAM DETAILS
Come, drive Out of the Wild, and discover how to adapt, and thrive, in this environment! Let’s go!
- Arrival and check-in are required by 9:00 AM.
- Training begins promptly at 9:30 AM on the day of arrival.
- This is an entire day event. A full schedule will be provided upon check-in.
- Attendees must be 21 years of age and will be required to present a valid driver’s license at the event location to participate in the driving exercises. Those unable to present a valid driver’s license will be limited to riding as a passenger during the driving exercises.
- Retailers will be assessed a $300 fee for all retailer staff who attend. An additional $300 no-show fee (for a total of $600) will be assessed to registered associates who fail to give at least 24 hours’ notice of their absence. Changes or rescheduling will require approval from your Zone Training Manager.
- In keeping with Subaru’s Love Promise to love and protect the earth, the corporate policy for this training program is 100% smoke-free, per local posted government and venue regulations. Absolutely no smoking or vaping in the program vehicles, nor while onsite at the drive training location.

FAQ
What are the Ground transportation and Lodging accommodations?
This is a one-day, drive-in program, coming to a city near you. Participants within a 6-hour driving radius (approximately) are asked to drive to the event venue. You are responsible for your own travel and lodging accommodations, and must arrive by 9:00AM.
Do I have to cover my costs to and from the program location? Or is Subaru reimbursing me?
We will not be reimbursing travel fees – airfare, mileage, gas, tolls, etc. Please check with your Retailer if this will be covered at the Retail level.
Is Subaru providing overnight lodging?
This is a one-day, drive-in program, coming to a city near you. We will not be reimbursing overnight accommodation charges. A Reservation Link, upon Registration Confirmation, will be available for discounted hotel rooms near your program location.
Is parking complimentary?
Parking rates will vary, based on location. We will not be reimbursing parking fees. Please check with your Retailer if this will be covered at the Retail level.
What should I bring?
- Charged smartphone and charging cord
- Valid driver’s license
- Appropriate close-toed shoes and clothing – you will not be able to drive without appropriate footwear
What should I wear to the event?
We love seeing your “Subaru Smart Casual” attire – like jeans, with no tears, or shorts, at or below the knee, paired with your favorite Subaru gear or shirt. Training will be held indoors and outdoors, so check the weather before arrival. Closed-toed shoes are required to participate in driving activities.
Do I need a smartphone for this event?
You will need your smartphone for interactive mobile activities. Charging stations will be available, but please arrive with a fully charged smartphone.
Will I have WiFi access?
WiFi will be available at the hotel training location. However, cellular service may be unavailable during portions of the off-road driving activities.
I need to make changes to my Registration, what do I do?
Your Zone Training Manager should be the first point of contact to request any changes. We will do our very best to accommodate these requests. Late changes may result in additional fees charged to the retailer due to re-booking and/or cancellation charges.
What are the COVID-19 protocols?
We continue to work with the SOA COVID-19 Team to determine any protocols related to health and wellbeing.
- If you have been exposed to COVID-19 within the last 10 days or are experiencing COVID-19-related symptoms, please take appropriate precautions and do not attend.
- At this time, in line with current guidance, attendees will not be required to wear masks or undergo testing.
- Sanitizer stations and face masks will be available for use if desired.
